Here it is, technology-Owned Ford Seat Belt Award. The award for safety belts in the back seat of the Ford car was given at New York International Auto Show World Traffic Safety Symposium.
Manufacturers from the United States has secured this award as it is considered to provide more security for the passenger car. Moreover, this system is designed to help reduce injury toin head ,neck and chest rear seat occupants .
For rear belt in the back seat of the Ford car is not like the rear seat in general. But the seat belt that could expand its operation, such as seat belts even though conventional in general.
Because it can expand into a balloon-like oval, Ford safety belts helps distribute energy beat arising from the accident up to five times better than traditional belt.
"Ford rear inflatable seat belt technology will improve safety for rear seat passengers of all ages, especially young children who may be more vulnerable time of the accident," said Ford group vice president, Sustainability, Environment and Safety Engineering.
Earlier this unique technology was also prominent when the 2011 Edison Best New Product Award and get a gold medal in terms of applied technology. In addition, this feature also received Best New Technology of the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC) as the implementation of the Canadian International Auto Show takes place.
