Pan Yongzhong, Vice General Manager of ZQM, said they did not just want sales, but also set up production centers in Indonesia for long term business. For the initial strategy, ZQM will import Benelli intact (CBU), both from Italy and China, then assembled locally (CKD).
Pan continued, Benelli have various models of motorcycles ranging from scooters, sports, until supermoto. Engine capacity also varied, ranging from 50 cc to 1130 cc's largest. QJiang addition to plans to market the Benelli, ZQM also have set up their local brands, QJiang (read Chien Chiang), to complete the segment. Pan added that the company's initial strategy is to take consumer confidence in Indonesia with a Benelli. "All the technology in QJiang also developed from Italy," said Pan.
